After eleven years of bringing humanitarian aid from UK and distributing it to individuals and organizations Hope Carriers became a registered charity in Romania. A new development of the work came in October 2007 when Hope Carriers Romania was able to rent a property in a village next to Oradea, which is the capital city of Bihor county in Romania. The goods are being stored here prior to distribution to schools, orphanages and individuals. Surplus goods are being sold in order to fund the trucks coming from England and to enable work to be given to local Christians who are developing new networks to help establish and maintain the work to meet the needs of future generations.
The next stage of the vision necessitated Hope Carriers Romania to create a company in order to provide income for the increasing number of projects that are necessary to meet the growing needs. The people employed by the company are the people that were formerly unemployed. At the moment the Company is working on a commercial basis but we intend to develop a workshop, some greenhouses and a kindergarten that will provide not just training and jobs for the people in the area but will give them a new vision of their own future. The people employed by the company are mostly from assisted families, who without our help would have a very low-standard of living. The profit that the Company generates will be transferred to the Charity to initiate and support other projects, which are part of our ongoing vision to help a wider group of people.
Our priority need at this moment in time is to purchase the property we are now renting, which requires the sum of £115,000. We need to find 460 people who are willing to partner with this ministry by giving the sum of £250 each.
